WORLD MARITIME DAY CELEBRATION ON

On 25th September 2025, the School of Maritime Studies, Coimbatore Marine College (CMC), successfully organized “Anchor Fest” in commemoration of World Maritime Day 2025 under the global theme “Our Ocean, Our Obligation, Our Opportunity.” The event was initiated by Dr. S. Senthilkumar, Director, School of Maritime Studies, and coordinated by the MBA Shipping & Logistics 2024 batch. It brought together students, faculty members, and industry representatives, highlighting the indispensable role of the maritime sector in global trade and sustainable development. The program was graced by the chief guest Mr. Sivakumar, Regional Manager – South, Broekman Logistics, Coimbatore, delivered the keynote address. In his speech, he emphasized the significance of integrated logistics and the crucial role of emerging maritime professionals in shaping the future of the industry. A special highlight of the celebration was the recognition of mariners within the institution, particularly faculty members , in appreciation of their dedication and contributions to maritime education and service. The event concluded on a successful note, leaving a lasting impact on participants by instilling a deeper sense of responsibility and pride in the maritime profession.
