Course Overview
The Marine Boiler and Steam Engineering (Operational Level) course is a specialized 6-day training program designed for marine engineering officers and candidates aspiring to appear for MEO competency examinations. This course is essential for professionals who have served on vessels without boilers and need comprehensive knowledge of marine boiler systems and steam engineering operations.
Structured according to D.G. Shipping Training Circular No. 16 of 2013, this course meets the requirements laid down in Table A-III/1 for Operational Level of STCW Convention as amended in 2010, ensuring international compliance and recognition.

- Water Treatment: Boiler water chemistry, treatment methods, and testing procedures
- Steam Distribution: Steam piping systems, valves, and steam traps
- Safety Systems: Safety valves, alarms, and emergency procedures
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Preventive maintenance and fault diagnosis
- Regulatory Compliance: STCW requirements and classification society rules
