The event Maritime Dialogue held on 11th September 2025 at 15:20 hrs in the Chart Room, Coimbatore Marine College. The honored guest for the day was Chief Engineer Gopalan Velayudham, HOD of B. Tech, who graciously shared his knowledge and experience with the cadets. The session emphasized the professional bond between the Deck and Engine teams, the importance of communication between ECR and CCR, and the concept of the Bridge as the brain and the Engine as the heart of a ship. Cadets actively asked questions regarding this relationship, making the discussion engaging and insightful. To mark the occasion, Captain Sunil Balagopal also joined the stage to honor the guest, adding further grace to the event. The session was a great success, leaving the cadets enriched with valuable knowledge and practical understanding of teamwork and coordination at sea.
