Course Eligibility :

  • Category 1:

    Passed Four year's BE / BTECH Degree including lateral entry, with 50% marks in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and lnstrumentation or equivalent.
    The candidates must have secured minimum 50% marks in English in 10th or 12th standard exams. If a candidate could not secure 50% marks in English in 10th or 12th standard exams shall still be eligible provided the candidate secures 50% in the degree exam and the medium of learning in degree was English.

  • Category 2:

    The Candidates who were admitted in Diploma course on the basis of Matriculation only and went to complete their B.E / B.Tech degree course as a lateral entry in the 2nd year of the degree on the basis of Diploma, and has secured with 50% marks in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation or equivalent.
    The candidates must have secured minimum 50% marks in English in 10th standard exams. If a candidate could not secure 50% marks in English in 10th standard exam shall still be eligible provided the candidate secures 60% in Diploma or 50% in the degree exam and the medium of learning in diploma or degree was English.

  • Category 3:

    Passed three year's Diploma with 60% marks in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and lnstrumentation or equivalent.
    The candidates must have secured minimum 50% marks in English in 10th standard exams. If a candidate could not secure 50% marks in English in 10th standard exam shall still be eligible provided the candidate secures 60% in Diploma exam and the medium of learning in diploma was English.

  • Passport is Mandatory.
  • Age limit: Maximum 35 Years.
  • Medical standard: Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eyesight up to (+ or -) 2.5 with no colour blindness.

  • Notes:
  • 1. Category 1 - The candidate must have passed the 10th and 12th standard from a recognized board and the degree courses must be recognized by any state or central Government or the AICTE.
  • 2. Category 2 - The candidate must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board and the diploma and degree courses must be recognized by any state or central Government or the AICTE.
  • 3. Category 3 - The candidate must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board and the diploma courses must be recognized by any State or Central Government or the AICTE.
  • 4. The maximum age limit mentioned above shall be applicable for General Category candidates.
  • 5. The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to "Scheduled Caste" (SC) / "Scheduled Tribe" (ST) Category shall be relaxed by 5 years.
  • 6. The maximum age limit for candidates belonging to Non-creamy layer of "Other Backward Classes' (OBC) Category shall be relaxed by 3 years.
  • 7. The maximum age limit for women candidates of each Category shall be relaxed by additional 2 years.

Course Description :

The Marine Electro Technical Officer Course (As per STCW 2010) (Without High voltage) is a 16-17 weeks residential programme. Successful candidates will be given DGS Approved Course Completion certificate, INDOS No., STCW Course Certificates and Indian CDC.We conduct 3 times in a year.

Training at CMC :

Apart from the regular curriculum, the cadets are trained in our Ship in Campus to monitor normal operations of the main engine including all the auxiliary machinery and the capability to troubleshoot malfunctions and to perform repair and maintenance. Marine Engineering cadets are trained in using onboard workshops and tools to effect repairs of components and manufacture simple itemsThe training also includes the development of competency in verbal communication, safety culture in the maritime environment and important aspects of shipping. The cadets are inculcated with a sense of discipline, team spirit and the right attitude with a lot of physical and mental activities.

Career Path :

After the completion of the course, the cadets will be issued with the CDC, INDoS No., Course Completion and Degree Certificate. The cadets will join the Ship as a Trainee Electrical Officer.
