  • Eligiblity : Passed +2 with an average mark of 60% in PCM and 50% marks in English either in class 10th or +2. The Candidate should appear for IMU Common Entrance Test. The application form for IMU CET is available on www.imu.edu.in. For admission, the student must pass the IMU-CET test.
  • Duration : 4 Years.
  • Age limit: Below 25 Years.
  • Medical standard: Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eyesight up to (+ or -) 2.5 with no colour blindness. Minimum height should be 157 centimetres

Course Description :

The B.Tech Marine Engineering Course is four years residential programme, structured into eight academic semesters.

Training at CMC:

Apart from the regular curriculum, the cadets are trained in our Ship in Campus to monitor normal operations of the main engine including all the auxiliary machinery and the capability to troubleshoot malfunctions and to perform repair and maintenance. Marine Engineering cadets are trained in using onboard workshops and tools to effect repairs of components and manufacture simple itemsThe training also includes the development of competency in verbal communication, safety culture in the maritime environment and important aspects of shipping. The cadets are inculcated with a sense of discipline, team spirit and the right attitude with a lot of physical and mental activities.
